Powering New Jersey’s first offshore wind project
We’ve been selected to support the Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind Cardiff Substation Expansion Project.
Partnering with Riggs Distler and Jingoli Power, we’ll deliver the engineering scope for New Jersey’s first offshore wind project.
Our work includes expanding the 230 kV Cardiff substation, adding a gas-insulated switchgear, and constructing new electrical infrastructure to connect this renewable energy to the grid.
This project is a key initiative in New Jersey’s energy transition and will generate 1,510 megawatts of renewable energy—enough to power over 700,000 homes. It will also contribute nearly USD $2 billion to New Jersey’s economy to help achieve the state’s renewable energy goals.
“Our power networks group, with over 100 years of experience in the power industry and comprised of experts in Transmission and Substation, is excited to be involved in another 230 kV substation project for the offshore wind sector, supporting clean energy generation.” – Bob Martin – Vice President, Power Operations.
“We are proud to support Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind and our partners Riggs Distler and Jingoli to deliver this exciting project. This collaboration underscores our commitment to advancing clean energy solutions and delivering a sustainable world” – Trey Wills, Senior Vice President – US East.
"Riggs Distler is proud to work with Jingoli Power and Worley to support Atlantic Shores on the Cardiff Substation Expansion, bringing renewable energy to the grid in New Jersey. Together, we are driving economic growth, creating local jobs, and advancing the development of a cleaner energy future in the Garden State," said Stephen M. Zemaitatis Jr., President & CEO of Riggs Distler.
